Randal Binnie LL.B, Notary Public 

Randal was appointed as a notary public, having fulfilled the requirements of appointment by the Archibishop of Canterbury, including having been admitted as a solicitor in Queensland for almost 20 years, a solicitor of known probity and a respected member of the profession. 

Randal was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland on 28 January 1992 and is also admitted as a solicitor to the High Court of Australia.  Randal holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology.

Randal has a broad range of legal experience and has appeared as an advocate in a number of Courts and Tribunals in both State and Federal jurisdictions.  Prior to his admission as a solicitor Randal was a member of the Queensland Police Service for thirteen years.

Randal is a Nationally Accredited mediator under the National Mediator Standards and has completed specialist training in that area.  He has been a Legal Aid Office (Qld) approved chairperson/mediator (since 1992) and regularly mediates Family Law Legal Aid conferences to assist parents in resolving differences about the parenting of their children.  Randal also conducts mediations on a private basis and is often engaged by other solicitors for that purpose.  Randal is registered with the Federal Attorney General's department as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
